The Challenge

Woodridge Public Library wanted to improve their ability to engage with their community by developing a new branding strategy and website. Their existing website and logo was out-of-date and did not reflect the story the library wanted to tell. Our objectives included:

Design a logo and visual language that reflected Woodridge Public Library’s values and allowed them to reintroduce themselves to their community as a modern institution

Develop a website with an elegant user interface that would more effectively connect patrons to library resources, events, and information and give staff seamless, easy-to-use tools for managing content

Provide an integrated calendar with events, registrations, and room reservations that would allow library staff to easily and effectively manage their programs and spaces

Our Solution

Woodridge's website displayed on multiple devices.

Working closely with the Woodridge Public Library’s team to determine their needs, Library Market crafted a new visual identity that:

  • Reflects the library’s desire for a modern, modular design
  • Gives the library a cohesive approach to styling future projects
  • Is fully integrated into the website, with logo as a repeated element in the background, panes, and bullet points across the site

In developing Woodridge Public Library’s new website and calendar, our strategy included:

  • Fully responsive, mobile-friendly design
  • Attractive, engaging pages built on panels and panes
  • Custom content types that staff can update based on easy-to-use forms
  • Granular access for users, support staff, and site administrators
  • Perfect rendering on any platform with responsive design
